There are some things I like about this pack and some that I don’t. Three stars cause it didn’t really blow me away and it didn’t really disappoint. I DO like how low-pro it is compared to other waist packs out there. Keeps it in place fairly well. Good size bladder for a few hour ride. Enough room for all the tools and other goodies you need. Comfy waist strap. Looks are really good on this pack too.
I DON’T like how the bladder doesn’t have the quick-connect hose that all the other bladder brands have. Makes re-filling a little less easier. The zippers (like what others have said) are not great. They work for sure, but almost impossible to zip one handed while riding. Yeah that’s not the best argument against the zippers, but since they are not the auto-locking kind, they unzip while riding if the pulls are left in the center. Another part that won’t affect everyone, is that I almost have the waist strap as tight as it can go. So I’d say if you’re skinnier than a US size 30 waist, it might be loose on you.
I probably wouldn’t buy again. There are other packs that do a better job at the same or cheaper price.
Honestly, the biggest downfall of this bag is also the exact reason I bought it! When full, it's heavy!! Sporting 1.5L of water plus a pump, multi tool, a bar and my phone t's a weighty one. And at it's fullest, the bag shifts on me going down some steep terrain, which is it's biggest downfall IMO.
But I wanted a bigger bag than what was out there and what the Race Face Stash bag does do really well is; a super sturdy elastic waist band (which makes the weight tolerable), seam-sealed zippers (my phone never gets wet and it SHOULD have a coupla times), perfect sized pockets and slick outer look.
This bag is growing on me and there's enough awesome features here that I would recommend it to anyone looking to a hip bag with a little more towing capacity ;)
Love the product!! Easy to wear and adjust and comfortable and definitely enjoy it more than a backpack type hydration system...
Used 5 times and the stitching has come apart. Also, the clip that hods the mouth piece to the belt broke off after the second ride. This is CHINA’S finest. EXTREMELY poor quality!
