Era SL Crank Explained

What makes Era SL ultralight, unscuffable and unequalled?

Unscuffable Wear Plate. Unequaled Performance.

Precision protection where it matters most. Our stainless steel wear plate is strategically minimized and precisely positioned to shield high-wear contact zones caused by rider shoes and the increased articulation of modern clipless pedals. Maximum protection. Minimal grams.

One Size Doesn’t Fit All.

Not all riders are the same and your crank length shouldn’t be either. Some riders prefer a high-cadence spin. Others live to push big watts. To support every riding style, we offer four crank length options from 160mm to 175mm so you can dial in fit, efficiency, and power delivery.

Ride Light. Crank Hard.

At just 354g, Era SL is the lightest mainstream crankset on the market—engineered with the strength and durability to withstand daily abuse. Save weight on your build, rebel against scuffs and unlock your biggest Downcountry days. Backed by a Lifetime Warranty. Crashes included.

Light, stiff, responsive

Light, stiff, responsive, and best of all they feel strong. Have only ridden on local smooth trails so far, but have loved them on the climbs. Cant wait to see how they handle rougher descents!

Frequently asked questions

Is the 30mm spindle compatible with standard bottom brackets?

The crankset features a 30mm diameter spindle made from 7000-series Aluminum Alloy. It is designed to be compatible with a wide range of modern frames, though you should verify your frame’s specific bottom bracket compatibility.

Can I choose a specific crank arm length for my bike?

Yes, to help optimize your fit, power delivery, and efficiency, the Era SL is available in four distinct arm length options: 160mm, 165mm, 170mm, and 175mm.

How does the 'Unscuffable' wear plate protect the finish?

The crankset features a precisely positioned, minimized stainless steel wear plate. This shield is strategically placed to cover high-wear zones prone to scuffs from shoe rub and modern clipless pedals, ensuring the carbon stays protected without adding unnecessary weight.

What is included in the box with the crankset?

The package includes all the essentials for installation:

 • Crank boots for added protection
 • Pedal washers
 • Spindle spacers

Note: Chainrings and bottom brackets are sold separately.

What is the Q-factor for this crankset?

The Era SL has a Q-factor of 170mm, which includes the provided pedal washers, ensuring a comfortable and efficient pedaling stance for most riders.

Does this crankset help with my bike's overall weight?

Yes, the Era SL is engineered for weight-conscious riders. It is currently the lightest mainstream crankset on the market, weighing in at just 354g for the arms alone. This makes it an ideal choice for:

Downcountry builds where every gram matters.

Riders looking to improve climbing efficiency.

Reducing rotating mass to improve overall handling and acceleration.
