Out of the box, the pads appear to be well constructed. Good stitching, soft touch fabrics on the inside, and multiple Velcro points for securing the pad. Pads sit snugly over the knee, but do not restrict movement - I left them on for a 25 minute climb, and was comfortable, the pads didn’t shift, and I did not feel overly warm. These are replacing a lighter-duty pad that was breaking down, yet I didn’t feel with these I was sacrificing comfort for protection. I didn’t bother taking them of for the repeat climb. The open back is great for putting them on / taking them off sweaty legs. No crashes yet, so I can’t report on that.
Pas de français
Knee pads are great quality, they fit secure with the straps topand bottom, and allow for all day pedalling. Most importantly they offer great protection from any crash big or small. 10/10 would recommend.
Bought these for my 11 year old son. He really likes them, they fit well and do not slip while riding. Definitely recommended
I have two pairs of RF Ambush knee pads that I wear around the ankles for the first climb and then generally leave them for the rest of the ride. No problems with those...but thought I would try something new.
I deliberately wear them at the start of the ride and really don't notice them. Have yet to have a solid crash - but they feel comfortable / stable and the protection feels good. Confident they will hold up...I have not worn my old ones since getting these. (20+ rides)
