You read the reviews. These Ambush rock! Awesome protection, Easy/ Quick on and off, secure fit, open back design for pedaling and staying cool.
Had them for a month now with over 50 miles pedaling on trails - some days in 90 degree heat and they are comfy. Took a fast spill over some roots- knees were all good. .
Comfortable, good protection, easy on/off
These are excellent pads for someone looking for a little more protection than what is offered by the Indy pads. The inside of the knee protection is the perfect amount. I was at the bottom of XXL on the size chart but opted for the XL and they fit perfectly. I love the fabric on the inside of the pad. It is smooth and soft. The pads fit is such a way that there is some airflow under them at the knee cap. The detail of having the orange D30 on the left knee and elbow pad is a nice touch. Great pads for days on bigger trails.
This is my third set of the Ambush Knee pads! They've been saving my knees for about seven years now and I have no complaints. The fit is snug, which is great for holding them in place when the need arises. Also, the fit is easily adjustable with the upper, middle, and lower velcro straps. Another big plus is that you can put then on and take them off without removing your shoes. No need to wear them on your ankles during long hot climbs. Just take them off and store them in your pack or even on your frame. The ambush knee pads provide great impact protection with the D30 front pad and additional side cushions. The extra cushioning might make the Ambush seen a little overkill for light riding, but you won't feel they're too protective when you eventually put them to the test.
These are the only knee pads that do it all.
- They stay on your knees when you fall!
- You can remove them easily to pedal uphill (as opposed to the slide on kind)
- They are lightweight but provide rugged protection
- They are easy to wash, dry, and keep from smelling like cheese (cause theyre flexible).
LOVE THESE! I’ve had three pairs over the years haha
