I really like these pants. They fit well and provide relief from the soggy conditions. They aren’t 100% waterproof because they are breathable...that’s what I want. Also, they have belt loops!
Bought a pair of XL agent winter pants for winter fat biking. I am 6’2” with size 36” waist and the fit is perfect. Can see myself wearing these for cooler days in the spring and fall and/or Bike parks days. Fabric is breathable and so far waterproof.. Not sure if they will be very tear resistant, but if you bail hard enough that they rip I am sure bodily harm will be of a greater concern.
Awesome pants and even better customer service! When I purchased the pants they went on sale three days later and I emailed raceface and they immediately refunded me the difference! Awesome to deal with, highly recommend raceface. I am 6 foot 230 pounds and I ordered the xxl and they fit good with room to put a pair of long johns under for really cold weather.
These waterproof riding pants actually work as intended! They are roomy enough for knee pads to be worn underneath, without being excessively baggy. A great 3 season pant for the Pacific Northwest. I'm 5'10" and typically wear pants with a 34" - 36" waist and the size Large fits perfectly. My only gripe is that the cuff is too narrow (even when unsnapped and 'open') to pull up my leg high enough to allow me to put my knee pads on after putting the pants on. Not a problem if I am riding from home, but if I am driving to the riding spot I either have to put my pads on for the drive there, or undress once I get there, put my knee pads on, and then put my pants & shoes back on. Not a big deal, but not ideal either.
I ordered these without being able to try them first. Overall, I really like the functionality of the design. The double snap closures on the waist and ankles is great and makes it very secure. The bottoms are a snug fit and will just barely go over my 8" tall winter boots on the larger position but will also work fine over a sock ankle on the smaller position. My main issue with these pants is 100% related to the sizing chart. I am a true waist 37-37.5" and typically wear Volcom pants in a 33" and jeans in a 33-34". Based on the size chart I ordered the XL (35.5-38.5") and even on the smallest waist adjustment I still have a lot of room. The size L (32.5-35.5") would have been a much better fit and is much more in line with typical vanity sizing. That being said, I got these at the Black Friday sale price of almost 50% off and they didn't have any size L in stock so I will be keeping them and just wearing a belt to tighten the waist. They are quite roomy in the seat and thighs which could be a sizing issue or just part of the design. I can't speak to their durability yet but the seams, snaps, and zippers all look to be decent quality. Delivery was a little slower than expected but the customer support from R-F on the phone was excellent. I would definitely purchase more from them in the future.
